After teaching Photographing Men on CreativeLive and writing a book with the same title, many of you emailed me about photographing more "average" people.
I wholeheartedly believe most (ALL) of that content applies to regular guys like myself... so I decided to put my money where my mouth was. I produced a 2-hour video entitled "Photographing the Average Joe," which takes all of the principles I've discuss in class and workshops I've taught into a single short form video that covers everything from lighting to posing and editing.
I was so adamant on making this a successful video that the content was filmed not once, not twice, but three times. I knew that in order to convey the message that I wanted to, I need the right videographer, the right editor and the right team to make this a valuable lesson.
For many years, I've listened to many photography educators who said "Men don't care..." and I'm here to tell you that absolutely false. If there's anything that I want you to take away from this content, it's that men really do care about what the look like, what they feel like and how they're perceived. I leave you with "Photographing the Average Joe."
